I have been a keen writer all of my life. I have training in both creative writing and journalism and in my 20’s I wrote feature articles for our local newspaper. Later I married and worked in business administration and supported our own beekeeping operation. My husband and I have been managing approximately 600 beehives since 2003. We provide pollination services and produce pasture honey and other bee products.
I have volunteered as a biographer with my local hospice for a number of years. Helping people with terminal illnesses to record their life stories has been one of the most rewarding activities I have been involved in. I have built on that experience by recording private biographies for friends and family. I believe everybody has a story to tell and I am passionate about providing a top quality but affordable and accessible service to the community.
My experience in business, writing, podcasting and volunteering have all helped me to develop the skills for this rewarding work.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time working on our 25 acre large lifestyle block – home to various farm animals and some exciting environmental projects. I also love craft – particularly knitting and painting. I have an insatiable curiosity and complete ongoing study via online learning platforms. I am very interested in current affairs and you can find podcast interviews and articles that I have produced on my blog page.
